Account Deletion
This page explains how to delete your SchoolFlow student or parent account, what is removed, and what is retained for legal or academic record-keeping reasons. It exists to satisfy the Google Play account deletion requirement.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
- Open the SchoolFlow app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm by re-entering your password and tapping Delete.
- You will be signed out immediately. Your account is queued for permanent deletion in 30 days. You can reverse the request during that window by contacting your school admin or emailing privacy@schoolflow.app.
Option 2 — Request deletion from the web
If you cannot access the app, email privacy@schoolflow.app from the address registered on your account with the subject line Delete my account and include:
- Your full name as it appears on the account.
- Your school name or school code.
- Whether you are deleting a student or parent account.
- (Optional) The reason for deletion — this helps us improve the product.
We will process verified requests within 30 days and email you a confirmation when the deletion is complete.
What is deleted
- Your authentication credentials (email, password hash, sessions).
- Your profile data: full name, phone, avatar, preferred language, push tokens, notification preferences.
- Your in-app activity that is personally identifying: chat messages you sent, RSVPs, leave requests, payment proofs you uploaded, and quiz/assignment submissions.
- Cached copies on our CDN and analytics retention pipelines (within 90 days of deletion).
What may be retained, and why
Your school is legally required to keep certain academic and financial records, even after you leave the school or delete your SchoolFlow account. The following data may therefore remain on your school's books:
- Academic records: attendance, grades, transcripts, report cards, and certificates issued by the school. These belong to the school and to you, not to SchoolFlow.
- Financial records: invoices, receipts, and payment history retained as required by tax and accounting law.
- Disciplinary or safeguarding records the school is required to retain.
- Audit logs identifying that an account previously existed (without your personal details), retained for security investigations.
After deletion these records are no longer linked to a usable account — you can no longer sign in to view them. To request a copy of any such records, contact your school directly.
30-day grace period
Once you submit a deletion request, your account is immediately suspended (you cannot sign in or receive notifications) and is queued for permanent erasure 30 days later. You can cancel the request inside the grace window by contacting privacy@schoolflow.app.
